Köln, Germany (Cathedral)

Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom, or in english: High Cathedral of Saints Peter and Mary) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Cologne, Germany. It's Germany's most visited landmark, attracting an average of 20,000 people a day and you could prove that in the image that i took (winter time).
The Construction of Cologne Cathedral started in 1248 and still unfinished. The cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires (after Ulm Minster) Its two huge spires give it the largest façade of any church in the world. The choir has the largest height to width ratio, 3.6:1, of any medieval church.

Then I was like "what?! pay for photos, No way... i Will not pay than i search on internet" but in the end I took photos and didn't paid Nothing...
The visit it was just for 5% of the palace and we saw a lot, the guide explained everything in english and one hour before was another visit in Italian ( you can choose).

adventure in 5 Terre Part#4

to finish this journey I bought a vernazza - La Spezia Ticket ( 2,10 €) and we lunched at La Spezia at 13.30 Local time.

We where around this beautiful city and then we turned back and because it was so early (4.30 p.m.) , we decided to make another stop (using our 6h validate ticket that costs 7,50€ ) in S.Margherita where we arrived at the sunset and where we just saw the beautiful city by night (like this photo below we took).

Trenitalia Ticket Trick

I bought a ticket for the first time when i was around from venice and the i started reading the ticket and i found 3 good things!

1º - Some tickets don't have time and date (you could buy and from that day into 2 months you could use it ).

2º - They are valid from 6h after you validate him.

3º - They don't have names so you could buy with low fare and then give to a friend (saving money).

Because of this i Diceded to buy tickets to long distance and then make a stop in the middle and like this save money to go more around ;)

Adventure in 5 Terre Part#3

The 3rd Stop was Vernazza!

This village was very similar and i guess we enter in a copy mode after the 2nd village so my comments doesn't changed so much...

This time i "didn't pay the ticket again" ( i will explain how! * Next post )

Not so much more to say about it...

Adventure in 5 Terre Part #2

After a 30 min stop in Monterosso i went to riomaggiore and this trip was so quickly that we dicided that with will do  the ticket on board if the controller come...

 3 minutes/ 1 Stop  = 1,80 € ( WE SAID NO! )

We did this part without ticket and than we were lucky and there was not controller so, NO PROBLEM !

This village is much beautiful and have a little more to show than the last one so we spend like 45min around, in a very slow mode...
In this village you could see the famous colored houses and also visit a castle (1,50€ ticket). In the castle you could see the castle and see a up point of view from over the city that gives to you a good view of the sea and all the villages.

Treviso

Treviso is a small city near to Venice where you can easily find the low cost airport of venice. From there to there you have a lot of different flights from some known airlines like Ryanair and Wizzair.

This city is also a good city to visit but not so touristic as venice. I should tell you that in my opinion it is a good city to run way from venice and to make a pic-nic.

In order to arrive there you can easily get the train ticket that will cost around 3€ in Trenitalia, otherwise you can always pick a bus from venice(piazzale Roma) to treviso and
the cost could be more or less the same.

venice for tourists

Venice is a little island composed for a several little islands and connect with bridges. Everything in here is made with boats and that could be also a good scene to catch (if you like too).
Venice like a island and a touristic place is very very expensive, so if you are thinking in drink a coffee be prepared for paying more than 1€. If you think in eating in venice the restaurants are almost around 11€ and 12€ but if you prefere something more "fast-food" you can easily get Kebab & Pizza slices from 2,50 € to 5€.
More tips? coming soon ...

Peso da Régua

Peso da Régua commonly known as Régua, is a municipality in northern Portugal, in the district of Vila Real.
Peso da Régua was inhabited by Roman and barbarian invasions during the early part of the settled history. Its name, as historians have suggested, developed from a few places: first, the name Vila Reggula a Roman estate that at one time existed near the historic centre; others suggest it originated from the word récua (the ships that plied the waters along the Douro); or derived the word reguengo (a designation for lands that were attributed to the monarchy).[3] Peso da Régua may also have its origin in the word regra (English: rule), alluding to the hereditary rights of descendents achieved through forals.[3] This theory is based on the donated of lands by Counts Henrique and Hugo in 1093, which were transferred to Egas Moniz.[3] It is likely that this rule gave origin to the word Régoa, and later Régua.[3]In relation to the first word, Peso, there are two opinions on its origin: the first, defends the it was derived from the place where the weighing of goods existed, or where taxes were levied; or, secondly, that the word was probably used to define the placed where animals were fed.

Suggestion

In the North of Portugal where we have the Douro river it's the most beautiful place and the best for those , like me, who liked Nature and natural environment.

The best suggestion for this place is doing a small cruise in the river and taste the douro wine.

Régua

A beautiful place where Douro river walk through and that makes the small city/village very nice and more spectacular.

Lisboa #4

...
After Belém, in the way to there or when you are coming back,  you probably will pass thought th Praça do Comércio ( big square very important for Portuguese rebuild by Marquê Pombal after the earthquake in 1755 in Lisbon.
This is a good place to chill out in the afternoon and of course staying a little at night near to the river...

TIP: If you like a great roller coaster you really should try the typic tram (normally the Nº 28 between Martim Moniz / Estrela , and this is the most required by the tourist because it goes to many cool places)

Typic Tram of Lisbon made by wood

Lisbon #3

...

If you still in Belém and you are already tired of walking here it goes  Two Suggestions.

1º- EVEN YOU AREN'T TIRED you MUST GO taste the typic Portuguese Cake - " Pastel de belém"

Cake with Egg delicious cream and you should taste it with sugar and cinnamon like i did in the photo.

2º - If you are a person with great adventure Spirit i will suggest you to try the " Hippo try" - Like a normal tourist bus but show you the city and a little after that goes into Water and you see Lisbon by the River (See that in this little video i made)

(sorry for the video not straight)

Lisbon #2

If continue walking around Lisbon, maybe you will hear about a place calls "Belém"...
Well i can tell you the thruth, it's a great place and it has a great view and very good for walking  or eating an ice cream.
You can always walk around and discover more things about Lisbon. The most important thing is the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, where you easily go inside and discover the style that Portugal was some years ago (little photo above).
And you can always go just walking and see outside all the things that you have in belém ( Mosteiro dos jerónimos; Torre de Belém; Padrão dos Descobrimentos).

Park and the "Mosteiro dos Jerónimos"(behind in 2º plane)
